My friends call me a manatee. I like to think it’s because manatees are friendly creatures, though I’m not sure if my friends are also trying to suggest that I am big and move slowly. Maybe the “big and slow” part fits perfectly with being a rock (!) I’ve gotten to meet many interesting people over my years at gunn, and I always enjoy getting to know new people. I found that often students go through the same situations, and it’s really nice to be able to connect with people who’ve been through the same situation and listen to their perspective. I’m good at calming people down (Roxanne can attest to this), so if you’re having a hectic day, feel free to come find me, and I hope I will be able to help you out a bit! This year, I’m working on my “reaching out” part of ROCK, and I want to get to know more people from other grades. Holler if you see me around campus! Looking forward to meeting you 🙂
